"I have been with Rick Babusiak State Farm office for over 10 years now and it has been the best insurance company I have dealt with. "We moved from South Carolina and so had to transfer insurance policies and for a short while, get a renter's policy. When our house sells in SC, we'll need a new HO policy. Initially when contacting this office there was a great deal of confusion and frustration on my part. Leslie however saved the day. She listened to my questions and dutifully got the answers for me. Now everything is just fine and you can bet I'll call Leslie when we're ready for a HO policy. Thank you Leslie for all your efforts. Do I recommend this office? Absolutely yes but I would try and hook up with Leslie if possible. It is now several months later and I contacted Leslie Stouffer once again with questions on insurance that covered a rental car. She replied nearly immediately explaining clearly what it covered and how much it would cost. I asked her to add that - and it's already been done. Thank you Leslie! If you call Rick's office with questions, ask for Leslie! I've added one star to this review for 5 stars because of Leslie. Once again - several months later. I sold a motorcycle and asked Leslie Stouffer to please cancel the coverage. It was done extremely quick with zero issues. I continue to recommend asking for Leslie for your insurance needs. Thanks Leslie! We've had State Farm as our insurance for two years now. First, renters insurance and car, then H.O. Insurance and car. I had a question about my H.O. premium being due or not so I called. McKenzie was terrific. Very friendly and courteous. She told me she would check with billing and call me back. She did indeed clarify everything with billing, and called me back very promptly. Could I find a cheaper insurance company? Perhaps but it's customer service like this that keeps me from doing so. Thanks Mckenzie!"

"I worked with Kayce during my move from California to North Carolina and she was so helpful. She got back to me on the spot as promised and answered all my questions, directing me straight down the road to a plan that worked for me . Kayce really cares about the client knowing the fine print which helps if you sometimes miss on a detail that could make or break you in case of an emergency or accident . "I never realized how important it was to have a good, local insurance agent until I had Rick and his team as my insurance advisors. There is no other family-owned, local agency out there that cares for its customers like the Babusiak Agency. They answer all my questions and they even call me every renewal to see if there needs to be a changes made to my policies. The professionalism and integrity I have experienced as a customer here is unmatched and I would recommend Rick and his team to anyone looking for insurance. UPDATE: I recently learned about some new endorsements that State Farm has to add to homeowners policies and they are awesome!! One of which is called the “cyber security” endorsement that protects you if your secure systems are hacked or if your identity is stolen. After recently having my Facebook hacked and (thankfully) getting it back, I know that this was an endorsement I needed for peace of mind. It was so affordable and I am grateful to know that I am covered in ways I didn’t even realize existed! Rick’s office is so knowledgeable and caring and I am so grateful to have such a professional team of experts looking out for me and my family."

"Update: I’m not sure how you’re trying to get away with completely lying here, Rick, but it’s surprising to me how little accountability you’ve been willing to take. In my many attempts to reach a mutual understanding with you, you’ve apologized for nothing and after asking me to not post a review, you completely quit responding altogether. I’m also surprised how a company would reference other positive customer reviews to discount my very honest experience with your office. No one gets it right 100% of the time. I said everything that happened as honestly as I could including direct quotes we heard from your office. As far as the tree goes, your office’s errors were so egregious and the effects of following such advice would have been so damaging to us, I have no other option than to post reviews. A sincere apology from you in private over email would’ve kept me from pursuing any of this publicly and I’m regretful that could not happen. Original Comment: This office has caused my wife and I extreme stress, frustration, and the loss of thousands of dollars we should've received from claims. We had a policy inactive on our account that would've paid out over $10k when I was hospitalized for 30 days and nearly died. When we confronted our agent at Rick's office, we were told by our agent Kayce that "this is a good learning experience for me". Then we requested a policy get cancelled and it was never done. We paid for that policy for around 8 months when we didn't need it. The money was eventually refunded, but we had to reach out and be very firm for this to happen. Lastly, we had a claim we needed to file because a massive tree fell on our property, blocked our driveway, and landed on our neighbors cars. We were told incorrect information FOUR separate times by staff members of this office, including having the tree removed before filing the claim. Had we followed any of that advice, we would not have been able to properly file a claim that could get approved. I had to contact a different State Farm office to get correct information on how I should proceed. We quickly transferred to that office (they are GREAT, and highly recommended - Elizabeth Soots State Farm in Kernersville). Again, this request was not done completely and we had to follow up with them again to do it correctly. Every step of the way it has seemed that incompetence, negligence, and laziness has been the driving factor for how we've been dealt with by Rick and his team. When I asked for him to take accountability for these mistakes, he told me not to post reviews because, and I quote, "I really hope you can reconsider your posts — as that hurts my family". I found this very manipulative and borderline cruel, since he spent many emails denying that his agents did anything wrong in dealing with us, and that it was our fault the $10,000+ claim wasn't approved. We were told we couldn't sign up for this specific service when my wife was pregnant, but that we WOULD be signed up when we had our baby. In our postpartum season, during my hospitalization, deaths in the family, and other family tragedies, it got lost in the shuffle on our end; but we were told they would follow up with us and they never did. Our daughter was 6 months old when I was admitted to the hospital. I have heard from reliable sources that this office is a "bulk" office that's one of the nation's "top performers". Unfortunately, this means they do not give the proper care and attention to their customers, and I would never recommend them to anyone."

"Dear Tim, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. First and foremost, I want to express how truly sorry I am for the stress and frustration you and your family have experienced. That was never our intention, and we take situations like this very seriously. That said, I do need to clarify several points in your review that are inaccurate or misleading. You first reached out to me in December 2024, and I immediately responded. We had a detailed, respectful conversation on 12/5/2024, during which we walked through the concerns you raised. At that time, I believed we had come to a mutual understanding. Regarding the hospital indemnity policy for your daughter: we thoroughly explained how this policy works. It cannot be written while a household member is pregnant, and once a child is born, coverage must be manually added within 30 days — this is not specific to our agency but is how the policy is designed. While I empathize with how much your family was going through at the time, we were clear about this process and available to assist. We did not say this was a “learning experience” for us — that is not something we would say in that context, and I’m disappointed to see it portrayed that way. You are correct that we missed a cancellation request on a policy in your wife's name. That was our error, and I take full responsibility for it. As soon as you brought it to my attention, I worked to get the cancellation backdated and the premium refunded, and I kept you updated throughout that process. With regard to the tree claim, I understand your frustration. While our office provided information based on our understanding at the time, I’m sorry if it was unclear or conflicting. I’m glad you were ultimately able to get the support you needed. Yes, our agency is a high-performing one, but that success comes from deeply caring about our policyholders. We do everything we can to provide outstanding service — as reflected in the 400+ reviews from other clients. Finally, when I asked you to reconsider posting a review, it came from a place of hoping to resolve the matter constructively and respectfully. It was not meant to be manipulative, and I’m sorry if it came across that way. Despite this outcome, I wish you and your family the very best — in health, business, and life.
